Fancy doing something a bit different this January? Come on down to Isle of Architecture's night of locally-inspired poems with 'the Manx Bard' at Peel Sailors' Shelter.
Following in the footsteps of Manx literary figures Hall Caine and T.E. Brown, who entertained guests at the Sailors' Shelter in January 1894, the ‘Manx Bard’, John ‘Dog’ Callister, will host an informal evening of poetry and yarns. Dog will share his own poems and collaborate with the audience to construct a new work inspired by the Island’s buildings.
Bring your own refreshments and join in with some architecture inspired wordsmithery!
The first in a series of exciting performances in some of the Isle of Man's special spaces.
Tickets £5 via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/poems-and-yarns-with-the-manx-bard-tickets-30693399785?aff=efbevent
Doors open at 18:30. Event begins at 19:00.
